Online hackathon with startup spirit

Innovation culture as a factor for the future

The coronavirus pandemic was a boost for digitalization. At the same time, it highlighted the complex new requirements for employees' and organizations' ability to innovate. Young talents in particular are attaching ever greater importance to the role that innovation plays in corporate culture. Together with Pioniergeist from Stuttgart, we have developed a suitable format to capture this dynamic.

Mentoring, prototypes and demo sessions

Over the course of two days, teams of 3-4 people from the companies were supported in developing ideas for the company's own challenges and demonstrating initial solutions. Despite the online format, the days were peppered with sports sessions and impulses. A jury then provided critical feedback before the solutions were presented to the respective management level for implementation.

We have achieved this together:

INNOVATIVE IDEAS FOR PARTNER COMPANIES

The teams from the participating companies ARBURG, bürkle, fischer and Schmalz worked intensively on questions relating to organization and business models - and developedvarious solutions for further implementation within the company.

Teaching digital working methods

The condensed working method of a hackathon showed what is possible with a concentrated approach - even online. The direct testing of the pretotypes with the target group also ensured a high level of customer focus.

INCREASING EMPLOYER ATTRACTIVENESS

With the hackathon, the companies demonstrated to talents inside and outside the company that they are open to new working models and show genuine appreciation for the ideas and needs of their employees.
